About Zawiyah
Zawiyah is a supplementary Islamic School that was successfully launched in 2018 to serve the needs of the diverse community of Harrow and surrounding areas.
Zawiyah provides engaging classes for girls and boys aged 5-16 in a productive learning environment.

Our Aims
Provide students with a broad traditional Islamic education including Quranic teaching of the highest quality.
Equip students with learning skills to support their mainstream education. These include confidence building, learning discipline, note taking and presentations.
Deliver teaching in accordance with an authentic and structured syllabus; teachers are experienced, knowledgeable and DBS checked.
Provide regular feedback to allow students to measure their progress and achieve their potential.
Instil the principles of Adaab (respect) and Akhlaq (Etiquette) within all students
Create a sense of community and shared values amongst students and the families of students
Create a fun and supportive environment where students are motivated to increase their understanding of Islam
Equip students with life skills to support them with modern life. These include mental health awareness, physical health education, social media use and awareness of the need to positively contribute to society.

Ensure that classes are affordable and accessible for the whole community.

Why Zawiyah?
Zawiyah has been established by a professional and highly experienced team to provide a service to the community.
We provide authentic teachings which will enhance your child´s understanding of Islam in harmony with living in the modern world.
Students will grow in their love for Islam and feel proud to be Muslim.
The founders and teaching team are all motivated to make the learning fun, enjoyable and progressive.
Lessons are taught using the established and highly regarded Safar syllabus supplemented by open questions and answer sessions.
Progress is monitored through regular formal and informal assessments and reports.
Parents are actively encouraged to become involved by attending the school regularly, participating in events and having open discussion with the Zawiyah team.
Term dates align with those of local schools and therefore do not interfere with holidays.
Classes are complimented by assemblies, days out and extra-curricular activities. These will motivate the children, foster friendships and create a sense of community.
Zawiyah is a not for profit organisation and fees are kept to a minimum.
